Due to its particular location along the shore, its beaches are known for calmer waves than other parts of Long Beach.

History of Naples

Naples is built on three islands located in Alamitos Bay.
Most of the streets on the island have Italianate names.
The concept of canals and gondolas was similar to the "Venice of America" developed by Abbot Kinney further up the coast.
